Which laser pointer is better and worth it?

Which will work better, $16 laser pointer, or $230 laser pointer?

    well I would have thought the answer was obvious, well considering the word "work" is subjective the $230 one 'works' better but you need to know wat you want it for, if your just going to be doing presentations the $16 one should be fine, if u want to point at stuff the $16 should be fine, if u want to do anything else you'll probly want the $230 (I'm guesing its much more powerful and could be green) green lasers can be seen more visibly and at 8 mW the beam can be seen instead of just the dot whereas the red laser (even when being as powerful as the green) needs to be much more powerful to be able to see the beam as the human eye is more effected by green light. also if the laser is over a certain mW isn't really suitable for pointing as it can burn things. i.e you can pop dark ballons with a 10 mW laser

That's a really nice question! I would assume the $230 laser pointer will work better. However, you still have to tell us the power output, the color, where you plan on buying the laser pointer, and what you plan on doing with one. If the $16 laser pointer is a 5mW green laser pointer and the $230 one is a 100mw green laser pointer, I would say the 100mW will work better for astronomy, and applications where brightness is necessary. Well that's impossible to answer unless you provide us with the names of the pointers. If they have the same manufacturer, my money would be on the $230 one.
