Why CUPS prints blank pages sometimes?

Printer prints test pages but not what I want to print!!?

• I have a C8180 printer and it behaves like it is not in the wireless network, even though when though when I click to print a wireless network summary it says it is connected. It does not print the documents I want to print, but if I troubleshoot it and print test pages, (from the computer) wirelessly it immediately does it. Immediately after it prints test pages I will try printing my documents again and it says that there is "error printing" in the printer jobs box. I have uninstalled the printer software and installed it back up many times but it behaves the same way... Also if I scan something it will send the image to the computer so I don't know what it going on. I did noticed that is started doing that after I downloaded McAfee but I uninstalled McAfee thinking that that is what was causing it.. removed and installed printer software again but it is still doing the same. It is acting like its picking and choosing what documents to print (which are only the test and summary wireless pages! :) Can somebody help me to resolve this issue... thank you in advance

  You say that you have a wireless printer. You do not say that you have gone into the control panel, selected printer and faxes and made sure that there are no other pages waiting in line to be printed. If your computer and printer are connected to a network then that printer will be printing whatever anybody has sent to the printer to print for them as well as what ever you have sent to be printed. Try making sure that nobody else has any thing waiting to be printed and cancel all jobs so that you can start fresh and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't then you may need to re-install the printer and do an update on the driver to make sure you have the latest driver.
