My Dell 1320c Printer has an orange blinking error?

Can I attach a Dell 1320c printer to my Netgear wireless router?

  • So, I know very little about networking so I relying on you brainiacs to help me out. I have a Netgear wireless G router. There are 2 laptops in the house that access this network. I'd like to be able to network the printer so we don't need to plug in every time we want to print. Is is possible to connect the printer to the router and share the printer that way? If not, I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Answer:

Yes you can do that - you merely go into the properties of the printer (right click) and choose the SHARING tab - and then the printer will be available across the network and can be printed to from any PC on the network.

It depends on the type of printer that you have. There is apparently, a Type A and a Type B printer. The Type B has the ethernet port built in the type A does not. So you will need to look at your printer see if you have the port. Ethernet looks like a giant phone jack. Here is a link to help you set it up. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/prn1320c/en/ug/1320c_en/section05.htm#1055181
