What is wrong with my printer, and what can i do to fix it?

  • ok so i have this thing for school i have to print, and whenever i want to send it to print, a little orange light goes off on my printer, indicating that i have no ink for my printer, but i just put in 2 new ink cartridges, so what is it that i'm doing wrong? by the way, the printer that i have is an HP F2100 Series

    If your printer can not recognize these ink cartriges, please install them again, the instructions are below: 1) Turn on the printer; take out the cartridges 2) Turn off the printer for a few minutes 3) Turn on the printer, when it says "insert inks", and then insert the compatible cartridges one by one, making sure the cartridges are sitting completely in the slots.

9 times out of 10 this is somebody that hasn't taken the tabs off of their ink cartridges. Remove them, and look for a little tab sticking up off the bottom or lower side that appears to be something you can peel off. If this is the case, peel it off and put it back in. Pretty much all ink cartridges now adays come with a pull tab of some type that you have to remove if you want any ink to come out.
