HOOKiNG UP LEXMARK PRiNTER TO COMPYTER?

i need help hooking up a lexmark x75 printer to a dell computer. my computer crashed and then when it was fixed the printer wasnt installed again. i have the cd and when i put it in it says- the application failed to initialize properly click ok to terminate the program. also the status button on the printer is blinking. anyone know what to do? ughh help.

Remove the power and USB cable from your printer to the computer. Visit Lexmarks website below.. http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi Select the operating system you are using on your computer to begin the download of the drivers for your computer. Then connect the cables and reboot your computer. Sometimes the drivers get updated and the safest way of getting the new driver is directly from the companies website. Cheers
