How to scan a document from printer/copy machine onto computer?

Why wont my printer scan?!?

  • i have a brothers MFC-J6710DW model printer,scanner and fax. All the software and such is installed and my computer name comes up on the machine when i select a network but for some reason when it comes to actually scanning the document or picture from the printer to the computer it doesn't work, it says connecting to pc then just stops and goes back to the menu. i have read everything the manuals have to offer and still cannot figure out whats wrong!!! can someone help!?!?! thank you :))

    Reset ever thing to factory default settings! If u need any drivers for Brothers printers you can download from below http://go4download.com/free/drivers/printer-drivers-drivers/brother-printers/

Go to the Brother website and download the drivers for that scanner model. Sometimes you have to do both with printers; install the CD drivers that come with it AND go to the manufacturers website and get any additional drivers.
