  • how would i set up at computer to print but, the printer is not by the computer. its hooked up to another computer. is it possible. like u see in librayers kinda?

  • Answer:

The two computers would need to be networked. At the bare minimum you would need to have a network card (or built in NIC) in each machine, and a cross-over cable to connect them.

Other answers

Yes it is possible. What you need to do is to 1) Make the printer available to other computers (if you are on windows, right click on it and enable sharing of the selected printer) 2) Make sure that you know the computer name or IP where the computer is connected 3) Map the printer that you want to use. 4) When printing, select the printer that you want to use. If you have correctly mapped the network printer, it should be available in your printers list.
