I have Window xp operating stystem and tried to install a printer 3000 series but now having problem.

Printer install problem Windows XP?

  • My friend gave me a Dell photo 924 printer. I had a Lexmark printer originally on here. I did as i was told remove the Lexmark software from the computer. Now for some reason i can't get the Dell printer loaded. I tried both using the disc and also downloading the drivers etc from Dell's website. The computer does find the printer when i plug it in. But i get this error message each time i try to install. *** An Error occurred during the installation of the device ACCESS IS DENIED*** According to what is checked owner-administrator. It loads the administrator but never logs on that way. I log in under owner when rebooting etc. this is a home computer bought used a year or so ago. I have tried loading it both ways. With printer plugged in and also unplugged Please if you don't know what you are talking about Do not respond i really need to figure out how to get this working. Thank you
