Why won't my printer work?

  • I have an HP PhotoSmart D7168 (D7100 series) printer. However, when I attempt to go through the setup steps, I don't find this in the list of models that are available. The closest I can find is "PhotoSmart P1100 - Gimp-Print v5.0.0-beta2". And when I select this, or any other printer model for that matter it prints a page saying: %!PS-Adobe-3.0 (It skips down to the next line and then picks up where it stopped) %RBINumCopies: 1 (Same deal, skipping down a line and then beginning directly below the end of the last bunch of nonsense)%%Pages: (atend) (It skips)%APL_DSC_Encoding: UTF8 (Skips) %%Title: (M The rest of the page is blank, and it prints out blank pages until it's out of paper. Don't answer unless you know exactly what's wrong and how to fix it.
