How to change screen resolution?

How do I change the resolution settings of a moniter when the button on the panel is off screen?

• I have a laptop that came with everything big. Too big. All of the icons and text are super huge and wanted to try adjusting the resolution to see if I could a better viewpoint of my monitor. This was due to the fact that I was trying to install a program in which it had an ok button to continue off screen and was trying to make the button on screen. Whenever I entered the Resolution Adjustment, the computer was already on the highest setting and thought trying a smaller resolution to see it was better. Big mistake as it increased the screen size instead and now the button to change the settings is off screen! How can I reach this button, or any button when it's off screen? This is a very inconvieneint situation. While trying to solve my problem, I made it worse. My laptop runs on Vista if that helps. Thanks

  Increasing the resolution will make your screen smaller. Try hitting the Tab button...this will move your pointer to areas you can hit enter. If more then one window is open..hold down the Alt key and press tab to switch windows. Cheers
