Sony Vaio screen is black?

My Sony Vaio's screen is black?

• Two days ago, I forgot to charge my laptop for the whole day. When I woke up the next day, I turned on my laptop, but the screen was completely black. At first, I taught it has to do with the battery/charge because the power icon at the bottom of the screen is green, and so is the Wireless symbol, but the charging icon only flickered orange twice, and then went black, and it won't STAY orange like it usually does when I turn it on. Also, when I close the laptop, the power symbol and wireless symbol remain green. I tried taking the battery out and then turning it on , but it didnt work. I also adjusted the screen brightness, but it wasnt that either. I think it has something to do with the battery or AC Adaptor, but I'm not sure. Please let me know. Thanks.
