My flat screen monitor wont work please help !!!?

  • hi i have a computer my dad has given to my daughter for her studies he has always used it with a falt screen monitor but it wont work with my flat screen monitor and i cant find out why?? my monitor works on my other computers but when i plug it into this one it just has the pic moving up the screen really fast and the computer works with my old big monitor but due to computer desk space i really need it working on my flat screen!! can anyone help ???

  • Answer:

boot the non-working puter in safe-mode. if you don't know how to do that - start slappin F8 when you fire it up. if you do get video in safe-mode (more than likely will) then it's probably the driver associated with that system's video card. some flat-screens don't like some video cards, but there are ways around that. if you need further help, go here; computerdoc.mypsx.net

. you should check the video driver settings and make sure resolution is in normal mode. some other reason it might be the screen is going bad or a compatibility issue so check the screen requirements. try another flat screen if possible and if the other flat screen works then you have a bad flat screen. if the other flat screen have the same problem then it is the pc itself i mean the video car. if your video card in integrated (built in the motherboard) you could buy some pci video card and install it on the motherboard . good luck
