Computer screen sometimes becomes blue and "pixel?

How can I alter my screen ratio from standard to wide-screen, if my pixel ratio is maxed out (1280 x 1024)?

  • I have an older computer, and i just upgraded my old standard monitor to a wide-screen one. I increased my pixel ratio to the max (in Display Properties/Settings) but it is still in the standard screen ratio; so when I have my monitor on wide-screen format it stretches everything. Is there a way to fix this?

  • Answer:

you can change i think you only changed your ratio in the operating system i mean either in the personalization or in properties in control panel but you also need to change image size in your display/monitor like image size normal to wide please check your display manuel you have buttons to change the brightness, contrast etc etc in you monitor or display there you will be having option to change image size normal to wide

Your old computer probably preceeds the advent of widescreen monitors, so the graphics driver does not support widescreen ratios like 1440x900. Try downloading the latest drivers and see if that helps, if not then if you have an option to install a new graphics cards which are very cheap these days, the do that and it will support widescreen displays
