Why is my screen yellow?

Why does my comp. screen appears slightly yellow?

  • Why does suddenly my comp screen changes its color to yellow...and after sometimes its back to normal..wat is wrong??

  • Answer:

What connection are you using? Is it VGA (a blue 2-inch wide connector) or DVI (a white 2-inch wide connector)? Either way, make sure the plugs are securely attached. If they are, you might have a damaged connector in the cable. You could try replacing it, but they cables are fairly expensive. You monitor might be bad. Yellowing might be a sign of wear and tear on the fluorescent tube inside the LCD. If you're using a CRT, the cathodes might be bad. It just depends on the quality and age of the monitor.

I have the exact same problem The wire connecting the screen and the hard-drive aren't connected properly. If you move the wire that's plugged into the hard drive from the screen around for a bit then it should to back to normal. :)
