Can i connect any monitor with a mac mini?

Does the Mac Mini connect to this monitor?

I'm going to be buying the Mac mini with this monitor: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-2010i-20-widescreen-lcd-monitor-04277871-pdt.html. I've heard bad reviews, however, about the minidvi-dvi adaptor that the mac mini provides. Does the provided adaptor work for this particular monitor? At this page http://store.apple.com/uk/product/M9321G/B#overview there are pretty negative reviews about misinterpretations about different numbers of pins on the cable. Do I need to hesitate about this issue or does this monitor safely connect to that adaptor? SOMEONE RELIABLE PLEASE HELP ME :) Thank you!- ten points :D

the mac mini does not have a mini dvi port, it has a mini display port so you need this: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB570Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDA3Ng&mco=MTA4NDU0ODY and the display i think wil work but the link is broken so im not shure

I do believe you will need a mini DVI to VGA however I cannot be sure as the PS world link you have there says 403 forbidden (my Layton impersination)
