Please help with webcam monitor?

ive found a old usb webcam in my room and therefore download webcam monitor to use it however everytime i open the program it freezes ive tried msn webcam recorder active webcam and none of them work ive installed my webcam properly and used it once using webcam monitor but after restarting my computer everything messed up

Answer:
install ubuntu linux and it will make ur webcam to work surely. or try it in other pc and see if it has the same problem otherwise buy a new one
