Acer Aspire One - How To Add A Display Adapter?
-
I am trying to use a secondary monitor which works in safe mode and shows the XP screen booting when not in safe mode. I did some looking into it and under "display adapters" it is not showing the adapter for the Dell flat screen I am trying to use - it only shows the display adapters for the built in laptop screen. When I look at the device manager it shows the correct Dell secondary monitor under "Monitors", but does not show under "Display adapters." How can I add the correct display adapter to fix this problem? Thanks!

Answer:
Short answer - you can't. The display adapter drivers for your aspire are configured for its onboard video - all you can do is hook up a external monitor.
