Why does my Computer Monitor Blackout?

I turn on my computer and everything is fine. Then while i'm playing a game like fallout 3 for an example during the middle the screen just turns black. I checked the power cord, the video cords everything is fine. Please help!

Power supply is overloaded. Graphics card not getting enough juice.

Your GPU is probably falling out (see the pun? Ha). I've noticed that Both NVidia and ATI have been producing lower-quality GPUs lately, and mine do the same thing as what's happening to you.
