Why is there a purple line on my screen and it looks like its ozzing on the screen?

i bent my screen back and there is a purple line acrossd it and i heard a crack, im 21 years old and bought this laptop its a sony vaio it looks like the screen has cracked i have no idea what to do. should i keep it from my rents i did buy this myself i just am scared that i will be in trouble. i have no idea what to do any suggestions

It could be a crack, the pixle went out. Or a virus. or your graphics card is going out. my laptop gets a lime green line down the side off and on. and those are the reasons why mine does that. you're 21. you paid for it. your parents have no reason to be made at you accidents happen

Why would you be in trouble for an accident? It's not like you got drunk and puked on it, it simply broke while you were doing something that everyone does with a laptop. If it is oozing, then it is cracked and you will have to have it replaced if you want to get rid of the crack.
