Why do dollar signs appear on my desktop?

Every time I create or open a document that I usually save on my desktop, I get more back up files there with a slightly faded color with dollar signs in front of the original file names. Does anyone know why this happens and how to stop it?

Answer:
just some hidden files like deleted files and stuff, dont worry about it u can go into the folder options and choose not to view them
