How do I put a calendar on my screen?

Why do the colors on my screen look weird when my laptop screen is at a certain angle?

  • I had put my laptop down in front of me, at a distance, with the screen propped back some when I noticed that my background image looked really, really weird. In the image on my screen, white people looked black, my orange calendar gadget look green. The brown skirt I am wearing in the picture looks white, while my husband's blue jeans look orange! And the trees in the picture look white and purple. I am familiar with how hard it can be to see images on a laptop when you're not positioned to use it, but what in the world made mine look so weird tonight? And what governs which colors turn to which?

  • Answer:

LCD screens have colour shifting, gamma shifting and contrast shifting as the angle changes from 90º (central in front of it) vertical angles tend to be worse than horizontal the level of it will depend on what kind of panel technology is used in it (IPS VA TNfilm) basically it's related to how the pixels are arranged. if you want an indepth description of it then you can find more than you ever wanted to know on www.tftcentral.co.uk

Because all LCD-s have a thing named Viewing Angle. If the angle is too high, the colors seem to change. Read more at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viewing_angle
