What's wrong with my computer monitor?

Whats wrong with my Benq desktop computer Monitor?

• Well it was working perfectly last night. Today i turn on my computer but not my screen. (left the room.....) [came back 5 minutes later...] turned on the computer screen and it showed the desktop for a split second. Then went black. So i turned off the monitor(screen) then turned it back on. The screen went white(you know how the matrix background is...not a solid but straight up and down lines) thats how it was for around 4 seconds or so. Now the screen is verryy verry DARKish dim and i can sorta faintly see the adjusrt colors/contrast menu and i put it to max an min and max and tryed diff stuff but after a few minutes the screen goes completly black. But the power button stays green and the wires and everything and connected perfectly. I even disconnected them,cleaned them and put them back. Still darrk,black, dim screen. Any ideas why or how i can fix it?
