My computer screen got really big!?

Alot of answers say just hold down Ctrl and scroll your mouse, but it doesnt change how big the screen is and i really need answers! not why it happened, i have a windows vista but i dont see the option of desktop anywhere in my windows start thingy. help!

You most likely changed the resolution. Your monitor (screen) didnt "get big." You simply just changed the resolution so that only a certain amount of pixels (DPI) is available. Just right click on desktop, choose properties or whatever it is that allows you to go to the res. screen in vista, and change it.

It contains a "Resolution" horizontal slider, with your lowest screen resolution on the left, and the highest screen resolution on the right: just drag the slider until you find the correct resolution.
