Why does my screen flicker when playing games?

i have a nvidia 7900. recently my screens began to flicker whenever i play games on it. i never had any problems with the games until recently. does anyone know why??

Answer:
Try going to the Graphics option on the game itself. check the refresh rate, if it is above 70 set it to 60.
