What TV to get for console gaming?

Is a 720p Samsung LED TV a bad idea for console gaming & a PC monitor?

  • I'm thinking of getting a 720p Samsung LED TV for console gaming & for use as a PC monitor (webs browsing and Word documents). I'm thinking of a 19 or 22 inch. Here is a link: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN22C4000-22-Inch-720p-Black/dp/tech-data/B0036WT456/ref=de_a_smtd This TV has an incredible bright, crisp LED display. I realize the specs are not great, but there is a gaming mode on the TV which should help. Is this a really bad idea? I realize that a computer monitor would be better, but I can't find a good mountable LED monitor (most are non-mountable). Thanks for any advice.

  • Answer:

Well this is the monitor I'm using right now and there are 4 screw holes on the back of it made just for mounting. It also will cost you a lot lot less than that LCD (you just won't be able to plug it into a cable outlet) It's 21.5 inches diagonally, ha DVI and VGA inputs with speakers, and it's 1080P! Hope this works

honestly, forget 720p - for the same price you can get 1080 - also for size, use as big as you can afford

22 Inch is a very bad idea if you want value for money. Anything you want to use as a monitor you really want to be at leat 1080p i.e capable of 1920 x 1080 resolution. At 22inch you are definitly not going to get any superior quality and will be missing out on full HD plus a good desktop size. 1280 x 720? Very bad value for money IMO.
