My pc is not running ok problem is--pc stop on the win xp screen?

There can be many reasons for this. The first thing you could do is press the F8 key just before the OS loads and enter safe mode. If sucessful, you can try system restore (Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore) to restore ur pc to an earlier date. If you cannot enter safe mode, the last resort is to insert your XP bootable cd, configure your pc to boot from cd and repair the installation or reinstall the whole OS. I had an ecperience like this last month and after hard inspections, i found that the file system on C is corrupt i.e., the os could not determine whether it is FAT or NTFS, i tried safe mode to no avail and then repaired it with XP bootable disk successfully.

Windows may have become corrupted so can try to go into Safe Mode and see if you can do a System Restore , if that does not work then reinstall Win XP from the CD. see if you can go into BIOS by pressing DEL key at bootup and see if the keyboard keys work there for selection of items. If the CMOS battery is down then also the computer will freeze up as happened in my case.

I'm sure that ur OS file is corrupted. Try it in safe mode. If not reinstall your windows XP and the driver and motherboard disks.
