Xbox 360 monitor problem.

Can I connect my Xbox 360 to my computer monitor?

• I need help. Here is what I want to do. I want to have my laptop be connected to my HD computer monitor. That's no problem with a VGA cable to make the monitor an external monitor. NOW, I also want the monitor to double as the screen i can use for my Xbox 360. Is there a way to connect my xbox to the monitor with a VGA cable? Maybe an adapter? Basically, can i have both? If not how can i get just the xbox to connect? Is it possible?

  Hey, I'm going to say that's it perfectly possible for you to do this. The only thing I'm unsure of is whether you want to connect both the xbox and the laptop into to same vga socket? First off, if you have a hdmi socket in the monitor, just use that. If not then you can easily buy a cheap hdmi to vga plug off of Amazon for a couple of quid, for example this: http://amzn.to/nCtKjK . Now then if you use gaming headphones that plug into the back of your xbox then you'll need to buy this: http://amzn.to/plNyu0 (This is only if you have an older xbox. The slim is fine) This is because the hdmi and the sound adapter won't both fit in the back. Bare in mind that if you plan on using a hdmi to hdmi cable then you will still need to buy this (It comes with a hdmi as well so that's two birds with one stone) Now then, assuming you wanted to plug them both into the same vga slot.
