How to make a picture the fill of text?

Screen is not filled with picture, how do I make the picture fill thscreen?

  • the icons appear to be a little smaller and there is room on both sides of picture where the screen is not full.

  • Answer:

Chances are that you are using a resolution that is of a 3:4 or similar aspect ratio on a windscreen monitor, and your graphics driver is compensating for this by letterboxing, or adding those black bars, to fill the screen. I would recommend increasing your resolution to your monitor's native resolution, which is usually the furthest to the right the slider will go in: *Right click desktop > Properties > Settings* (*Right click desktop > Personalize > Display Settings* for Vista or 7) I recommend this over stretching your current resolution, because stretching will make objects and images on your desktop appear both blurry and horizontally stretched, which is generally not desirable.
