How can i know if the HDMI port in my lapotop can be used an input '' 10'' pts?

i have a HP pavilion dv6 laptop with an HDMI port . The reason why im asking this question is because i want to use my laptop screen for my ps3 . But i heard that in order to connect a ps3 to a laptop via HDMI port . The HDMI port in the laptop must have the feature to be used as input . Now im really confused and not sure if mine can be used as input . any help is appreciated .
