Wide Screen Monitor help?

I have a dell PC and a dell wide screen monitor, need help on monitor?

  • im playing battlefield, a PC game< and when i play it for at least 30 minutes, my computer closes my game automatically. this is starting to piss me off because when i re-start my game, the computer closes my game again but within a 10 minute phase. how would i solve this...do i need more memory, and how would i stop the energy saver... thats what i see when i play...it says energy saver mode and that gets me mad because thats what also causes my computer to close the game program

  • Answer:

Whatever the problem is it doesn't sound like it's a monitor or hardware problem. Maybe your antivirus or some other program is causing it to close, because I had that problem once?

Go into the Control Panel and click on the Power (Options) icon. You will see a series of places where you can set it to "turn off" things like the monitor after a certain length of time. Adjust (or turn off) those power settings so that they do not interfere with your game play.

Hi. To turn off the power saving mode, use "Start> Control panel> Power options>" and set all values to never. It does sound like you may have a cooling problem though (30 minutes vs 10). Clean the vents and fans. Look for dust in the main heatsink. That kind of thing.
