Why won't my computer recognize my Flip video?

How do i get my computer to recognize my video card?

  • I have no way of even having a monitor display without a video card. and i have tried 2 video cards so far and no success. how do i get the computer to recognize it. i have an agp connection and it takes a 1.5v card which i have been trying to using, the fan on the unit turns on but the monitor doesn't pick up a signal. is it the mother board? bad cards? or will a PCI video card work better? I keep reading crap and it all ways says well go into windows and install the driver?? well how the hell can i do that if i have no display. my hard disc doesn't have an operating system on it either. everything is hooked up correctly. the moniter i am using also works i tested it on my laptop and it works perfect no connection problem what so ever. I just want to get this computer going and i'm extremely frustrated with it

  • Answer:

Your problem is not video card, either of the three: motherboard, processor and ram. Without video card you can test your system by beep codes. If you don't hear any beeps then either of the three I mentioned is defective. The only way to test any of the three is to a working system with the same configuration. If you don't have a working system to swap with then you need a new system. I would suspect you motherboard is fried.
