How to monitor PC in different networks?

PC wont boot or send signal to monitor?

  • My PC has run perfectly for the 7months since I got it (Apart from having to reformat it 2 months ago). Today I was watching some tv episodes I had downloaded. All of a sudden, I got a blue screen error. I restarted my PC, but the monitor wouldn't receive signal. The monitor still works, but the light stays orange, and does not go green. After some research, I found that my PC doesn't make the POST beep it should when starting up. Also, the graphics card may be fried. Other than that, all is working fine. Fans running, DVD lighting up etc. However, I can't use it, as it won't boot. (Also, my monitor runs through my graphics card, and only that, so I have to use that, as my PC has no plug for the monitor cable). From what I can gather, it is either my Motherboard that needs replacing, or my graphics card, or both. My PC wont boot (make the beep noise, and keyboard lights won't work), and I would like to know my options. 1.) If I buy a new Motherboard, and plug everything into that, will the signal go through the graphics card and to my monitor, so I will be able to use my PC EXACTLY as before? 2.) Does this mean that my RAM and Hard Drive will remain the same, and would work in another PC, or are they corrupted now. Please don't ask for my PC specs as it won't make a difference. I see it as either a straight forward fix, or to just buy a new PC (Which I really don't want to spend money on). Than you for any help you give me, it is much appreciated.

Do you get any lights on the computer case when you press the power button? If you dont, it is probably the power supply inside the PC that has failed.

Not a Straightforward Fix... Your problem could actually have an Easy Resolution. The Video Card may have become unseated which isn't all to uncommon it's happened to me a couple of times... the POST is irrelevent as a lot of PC mfcs Disable the Sound it's suppose to make because believe it or not it freightens people. If it's a Custom machine take the Side Panel of While it's Completely unplugged from the power... Check to see if any of the Connections have become loose... If you don't know what your doing Get a friend to help. Otherwise you could spend 150-200$ getting replacement parts only to find out that 1 of your Connections to the Hard drive or Video Card has become unseated...or Disconnected... .
