How to fix computer screen problem?

How to fix computer screen with this problem?

  • 1/3 of my computer screen is black.I tried restarting it and turning it off and on and it did no good. Is there anything I can do so the whole screen shows normally?

  • Answer:

Normally, computer monitor has an auto-adjust button, that when pressed, will adjust the monitor for brightness and color. If your monitor doesn't have this button, then you can attempt to reach an earlier state/resolution by right-clicking on your desktop (for Windows), going to "Properties", then "Settings", and then increasing the screen resolution, which is the most common mis-adjustment. If it keeps occurring randomly to your computer it means there is a problem with your graphics adapter. If it doesn't work, you can right click on an empty place in your desktop, go to personalize, then click on display settings. Once in display settings click on advanced settings. Then click on List All Modes. There you will find all of the modes for the computer. You can run through these until you find the one that brings you back to the normal screen size and resolution you had before. For a 19" acer LCD it is 1280 x 768 32bit true color 60 hertz.
