Why is my screen resolution so big and words so small?

Windows 7 Screen Resolution Resizing Issue?

  • My screen has been operating in 1600x900 normally. I am running Windows 7 64bit. However, just recently, when I adjust to a resolution other than 1920x1080, my maximum resolution, rather than applying the selected resolution to my entire screen, it only shrinks my screen to that selected resolution. In other words, I see a smaller rectangle with everything in it in the middle of my screen with empty black space all around it. Please help if possible?

  • Answer:

go to your desktop, you right click then go to graphics properties, and then click display settings and find the correct one in the 'screen relsolution' drop down thing.

I'm afraid that your graphics adapter is gonna do that no matter what. Try updating the graphics drivers for your computer if you can. If that does nothing, then I am not sure there is much you can do.

Just readjust the screen resolution again...
