Computer troubles please help!?

  • Computer starts and runs but nothing will appear on monitor. computer makes a sing beep and one long beep with a pause afterwards then the computer does it again. Green light on the corner of the motherboard is on. i replaced the power supply last month and yesterday i tried to add RAM and a second hard drive and thats when it started doing this on me. I took the RAM and Second hard drive out and that didn't fix the problem. i took all the RAM out and that didn't fix the problem. i un plugged the cd drive and that did nothing. i took a cd out of the cd drive and that did nothing. i plugged the CD drive and hard drive into all the different sata drives that didn't work. i swapped the original RAM that didnt work. and all the fans in the computer turn on. Any ideas on what could be wrong? the computer is a 2006 HP with an AMD processor.

    imho sounds like one of your cables have came loose while you have been inside the pc, also did you earth yourself, in addition to all that you have tried , did you reseat the graphics card, also maybe you need a matching pair as in memory thanks ian imho i would take all out and put one piece in at a time and know it is time consuming but the only you will know what is wrong for sure, have you put the p2 into the planar board, also make sure all the cables from the power supply are in and make sure you change the jumpers to accomodate all that you are replacing read the manual that came with the planar board if not then google plus me at ianmcully thanks

a computer cannot operate without ram so make sure its seated properly into the mother board and it could be your cpu not seated in the socket properly try putting it back gently and don't touch the gold parts it'll get damaged.

HP POST says 1 short beep and 1 long beep Memory problem If there is a battery on the MB, I'd try removing it to reset MB.
