How do I split audio between my pc and monitor?

Will a PC splitter wire work for this setup? PLEASE HELP?

  • Ok so I have a 32 inch Sony Bravia HDTV with a PC input channel. I have a 24inch LCD PC monitor. I am wanting to split and have both the monitor and the tv as my monitors. I will not be using both at the same time. I just want to split it and not have to keep switching wires around. I wanna use the tv to show off some pictures or sit in the recliner and watch youtube videos or something. I am worried that the difference in screen sizes may not work. Can I buy the spitter and the images adjust correctly to both screens using a splitter wire? Thank you for all the help.

    YOu could buy a monitor switch A B switch. Both Monitors would plug into a little box, and so would your computer. ON the box you would push a button for whatever monitor you would want to use. If you have a desktop pc would could also install an additional video card, and you could use both screens at the same time if you liked, or SWITCH back and forth via video card software

most agp and pci-e video cards support multi monitors. Thats why there is more than one plug at the back of the card. plug the TV onto the other socket and adjust the card's settings via the control panel if you have a built in video card with only one plug at the back then you need a splitter
