What's wrong with my computer monitor? Is there something wrong?

  • On every startup, my monitor displays the message, autoadjust in progress. It does this for 3-4 times. However, once it has come to the windows login screen, it stops. Is this normal?

    Sometimes it can b due to sum power shot in ur monitor wire internally tat mite get adjusted in few days but if it prolonged get it checked wit a s/w engineer.

Yes, this is normal for some monitors. Some monitors will take a few seconds to analyze a new video source to adjust to the correct resolution, refresh rate and to make sure the picture is aligned properly within the borders of the display (e.g. making sure the picture isn't shifted off the left side of the screen by an inch). Note: When you boot up your computer, your screen resolution (as determined by the PC) will change multiple times. For example, when the computer first starts, you will be presented with the BIOS screen which is probably displayed at a very low resolution. The bootup screen may have it's own resolution that is slightly higher, and the actual working resolution for your Operating System may differ yet again. Each time the video source changes the resolution, the display may automatically adjust to the new settings.

yeah is a normal thing for some flat screen monitors.
