Does my pc monitor uses a lot of energy in sleep mode?

When i turn of my pc by monitor goes to sleep and a faint light turn on were the power button it so I always just turn it off. But do i have to? Does it take up a lot of energy or hardly any enegy at all?

No. It does not use power. As it says, it falls asleep, using practically nothing. I think the light is just telling you that it is on standbye and will turn on as soon as you move the mouse (as happens to mine) turn it off then I think it uses no energy.
