What type of video/audio input cable do I need for connecting an xbox 360 to a monitor?
-
I'm planning on purchasing a 1900 X 1200 full 1080p HD monitor to use with my 360, but don't quite understand what the difference is between the different types of cables I could connect to the monitor, ranging from VGA to HDMI. Obviously I would like to get the full resolution 1080p resolution out of the games, so I'm curious if one type of cable doesn't give as much resolution as the other? Also I'd like to note that I plan on connecting speakers through the headphone jack of the monitor, just in case that limits my choices of what cables to buy.

Answer:
hdmi will carry the highest quality video and sound to your monitor, then just plug in your speakers. that's it
