Why isnt my monitor turning on?

  • Firstly im not a noob, my monitor is pluged in and is on, and is connected via dvi to my pc. It was working fine, until now, when I bought s new case for my computer, after a long time moving everything into it, I double checked all the wiring..... and so turned my comp on finnally, but my monitors continue to stay in the standby mode (orange led), and isn't being recognized by the comp. The computer is running fine, I can hear the drives spinning up, fans slowinng down to their set speed ( done in bios). I absoutley have no ides why its turning not on. I have done no changes, or damaged it, added anything new.... anyone know why my monitor isnt turning on. All my components r working.

    maybe the monitor is broken/crashed, take it for repairs.

Check the video card. It may have died. It happened to meet all of a sudden.

If you have a spare computer in the house/flat then use the cable that connects from the graphics ports to the monitor and try that one. Also try resetting the bios ( if you google the model number of your motherboard it will tell you how to do this )
