How to watch bootleg movies on computer?

We just bought a screen T.V. , & I wanted to know how to connect the computer to the T.V to watch movies?

  • The Model of the T.V is SAMSUNG and the Tower of the computer is COMPAQ- the monitor of the computer is HP. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with models, but for some reason I connect the monitor to the screen T.V. and nothing happens, it says "No Signal" not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong. I also looked at the T.V. booklet and it say to just plug it in the back and it should be all set. Please help, I am dying to watch a movie from my computer in the screen... LOL... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

    IT DEPENDS...ARE THE TV AND THE COMPUTER BOTH HD? IF NOT THEY WILL BE INCOMPATIBLE FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES....MORE INFO ON MODEL NUMBERS AND THE LIKE WOULD BE HELPFUL..

Yes, if both the monitor and video card in your computer are not HDCP then it won't work. Maybe you need a better video card to go along with whatever model tv this is. But yeah, check out the tv and make sure it is HDCP, and I'd be surprised if the video card is. Or you could go with an HDMI cable setup if you are using DVI right now. Try using a DVI to HDMI adaptor in the back of your PC and then use an HDMI cable to hook it up with your TV!
