No sound coming from monitor?

I recently bought an hemisphere to dvi cable to play on my new monitor with my xbox . Everything works just fine with the picture and all but I get no audio from the game. The monitor has no audio pots o. It either

Looks like you need to get yourself some speakers mate. Any powered speakers that will connect to your xbow will do... or output the audio through a stereo or use headphones

As far as I know, a DVI cable alone wont transfer audio. Does the monitor have speakers?

Does the monitor have speakers on it, also some dvi cables don't have the audio pins that will transfer sound, the ones that do are adapters for HDMI cables

DVI only transfers video, not audio. You will not get sound over a DVI connection. If the monitor has no audio inputs or speakers, then the monitor is not able to produce sound. You will need to attach a set of powered PC speakers to the xbox and use them for sound. DVI does not transfer sound, only pictures.
