Samsung monitor problem.

Monitor Problem (Samsung 32" HD Ready LCD)?

  • I have the monitor above that supports High Definition resolutions, in fact i used to enjoy 1360x768 on my previous graphics card (XFX GeForce 8600GT). The problem is that i ve bought a new graphic card (Asus 9800GT 512Mb DDR3) and removed the old one. No other hardware change since then. At this moment, my monitor flickers on this resolution and only plays good at 1260x768 which in my opinion SUX! 1360x768 is the max resolution for my monitor (only works on 60Hz Refresh Rate) so why cant i have max rez with a better video card? P,S: Using higher refresh rate than 60Hz at 1260x768 only increases flickering and reduces quality, WTF!

  • Answer:

The 9800 requires different drivers than the 8600's driers. go to add/remove programs in the control panel. Remove the current nvidia driver. Head to www.nvidia.com and download drivers for your 9800. install then reboot.
