Why is my monitor not working?

Why does my monitor do tinted pink eveywhere then stops working completely?

• i had a monitor, it went tinted pink everywhere i was suprised i didnt know what happened, after a while it stopped working completely the green light stayed on showing its connected to the computer but screen is black. Now i got a new monitor, it worked fine for like a weed then just now it went tinted pink. im sure it will stop working completely just like the last one if i dont do something about it. Is it because of stuff i have nxt to the monitor? is my video card on my computer doing something to my moniter?

  kkrrp~ I don't know if it's the same thing but mine was going pink then yellow and it was the Monitor Cord that goes from the monitor screen to the modem and it worked. We're having trouble again with the new cord so it could be inside the pc but several people said change the cord , we did and it worked. Our pc is just having other problems like blowing out hard drives , white pages etc....but I'm almost positive on the cord. Google it and re-check and I think you'll get some of the same answers!
