My PC Monitor's display changed, how to recitify it?

My PC Monitor's display is not full, blocked by black border of 2 cm size. Please advise how to rectify and bring it to normal display.

It might have a defect in picture tube. and if it is new you can set it from menu features on it.
depends on what you did or what 'happened'... ie, dome monitors have display properties you can set independant of teh display adapter in the computer. some adapters will display incompatible settings. first you need to find out if there is a reset on the monitor itself and use it if nec. then change the properties of the adatper by right click on the desktop and selecting properties and advanced. tnewer adapters and newer versions of windows will show the campatible and/or native resolutions.
