How does shuffle mode work?

Why won't my external monitor work in normal mode but work in safe mode? (10 points)?

  • I have an external monitor for my Acer laptop and it doesn't work in normal mode. But when I start's up in normal mode and loading windows vista it loses the signal. But when I use safe mode it works. How do I fix it so I can use my Acer laptop and monitor in normal mode? It's an emergency because my screen is cracked. Thx $BoomBoom$

  • Answer:

Are you setting it up properly? The way you should do it is boot up in normal mode. Right click the desktop and click properties. Then go to the settings tab and click the greyed out square and check the box that says "Extend my windows desktop..." and hit apply. This should allow both to work at the same time. you can even make it your main monitor if you would like since you screen is cracked.
