Is my computer monitor broken? Help?
-
I have a w2228h 23in hp monitor (FN747AA) and when. I plug it in the computer to the monitor i don't use hdmi it's the other cord with the pins. VGA. It used to work fine but now when I turn it on the screen appears and shows my desktop but then goes black also I used to take turns using the same VGA cord for both my desktops and one day one screen had a red line and green on the right of the desktop and anywhere else. Help me fix this. If I use a hdmi will that solve the problem, I think the VGA input spot is messed up.

Answer:
Look inside the VGA slot of the cable, you may have broken some pins through excessive switching of the cables. The cables aren't meant to be unplugged and plugged in frequently. Doing so will cause damage to the pins.
