What do i do when everything on my desktop becomes wider?

Change the resolution. Right click on the desktop and press "Screen Resolution", then find the resolution that suits you. Preferably the highest is the best. You need to change the resolution of your screen. Right click on your desktop and click on screen resolution or preferences(depends on what operating system) and change the resolution to fit your screen.
