Why won't my computer screen turn on?

Screen wont turn on when I turn the computer on or when i try to wake the computer up after from sleeping mode?

• Hello I have a old HP pavilion with a 19in brand new screen. Recently the computer haven't been working as use to. First what was happening was that when the computer goes to sleep mode it wont wake up again, in the screen i just have the message no signal. So i had to turn the computer off, and when i turned it back on it would start normally as if i was coming back from a sleeping mode, With all documents and programs open, as it was before sleep mode. And now when i turn the whole computer off by myself. When i try to turn it back on, sometimes the screen wont go on.The computer lights, hard drive and fan are on, but the screen just says no signal. I turned the sleeping mode off, so that problem is basically solved. I ALSO HAVE a vga splitter that goes one to my computer screen and one to my TV But what could the problem be with my screen not turning on??? Thanks

  Same thing happens to me and I just got this computer brand new anyways try clicking your mouse and restarting the stuff should help
