How do I split audio between my pc and monitor?

Help connecting my pc to a monitor and a tv from split vga lead?

  • Hi, Im hoping sum1 can help me out, im trying to connect my pc to both my monitor and my samsung lcd. I only have 1 vga port in the back of my pc, so have purchased a spliter cable allowing me to insert both the vga leads from my monitor and tv. However on inserting the vga spliter into the pc only the monitor displays the signal, the samsung tv will not pick up the signal using the spliter. The samsung tv will however work when plugged directly via vga into the pc without the spliter. I am not that technical with hardware and wonder if anyone out there knows of possible soultions to allow me to connect my pc with only one vga port to a monitor and a tv using a spliter? Any advice would be really appreciated.

    Have you tried setting up you computer for mutiliple displays in you display options, it may be reconizing it but not set up for to display on both
